Happy New Year! We hope you had a fantastic holiday season filled with joy and relaxation. The Elemental Fitness and EKA Team is back, fully recharged, and we're diving into 2024 with some major changes – and yes, they're even more significant than the new gym area!

Classes are back in action, laser-focused on gearing you up for the March Grading. Brace yourselves for intense, purpose-driven sessions designed to elevate your skills and set the tone for a powerful year ahead.

Personal Training clients, get ready for a shock to the system! There's no easing into the year – it's straight back to hitting personal bests and relishing the satisfying soreness that follows a workout. While there's always time for downtime and indulging in pigs in blankets, Lindor chocolates, and glasses of sherry, now is the moment to harness that energy and embark on a journey to a stronger, healthier you

Facilities: As of now, the gym has remained unchanged since the noteworthy addition of the new gym area last year. However, this status quo is set to shift as we embark on phase 2 of our facility upgrades.

The climbing wall is slated for removal, making way for a brand-new double-door entrance. A welcoming reception area is in the works, designed to enhance the experience for both new and existing members. Simultaneously, the office is scheduled for expansion—a change that might not be immediately apparent to our customers but will undoubtedly provide our team with additional space, fostering contented staff and, hopefully, a reduction in burpees during classes.

Furthermore, there's exciting potential for a new area to the right of the former climbing wall location. This space could be utilized by various businesses, opening possibilities for services such as physiotherapy, hair, and makeup. The range of opportunities is vast.

Regarding the time frame, the initial plan aimed for completion by the end of the previous year. Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions led to a postponement. Fingers crossed for a storm-free 2024, allowing us to bring these upgrades to fruition. Anticipate a fresh and improved gym experience soon!

Cooperate/Business & Schools: Elemental Fitness has recently teamed up with Red Kite View in Armley, and we're thrilled about this new partnership.

Working with young people has been a unique experience for our team, and we're proud to contribute to their well-being.

Red Kite View offers a Children and Young People’s Mental Health Inpatient Service (CYPMHS) in West Yorkshire. Specialising in mental health care for ages 13-18, they opened their doors in January 2022 with the mission to keep young individuals close to their communities during treatment, ensuring they're no more than 25 miles from home.

Collaborating closely with other CYPMHS (or CAMHS) teams in West Yorkshire, Red Kite View is committed to providing treatment for young service users with complex mental health needs.

This new venture is both interesting and enlightening, and we're eager to see this relationship move into the New Year.

We also plan our return to Summerfield Primary School in 2024

Whilst we appreciate every partnership we have, there's something special about our bond with Summerfield. We're committed to nurturing this relationship and fostering even more growth together.

This year we are not only running the after school kickboxing classes, but also David will be working closely with some of the children during break times in a young leader’s programme – more on this in next months newsletter!
