Elemental Fitness Newsletter

We’re excited to kick off 2025 with some fantastic updates at Elemental fitness & the EKA, including new facilities like a treatment room, physio room, updated office layout, a new street entrance, and a welcoming seating area. January has been a strong start with classes in full swing, belt gradings on the horizon, and Fight Club and Squad Training prepping members for upcoming competitions. Ladies-Only classes have also returned, and club member Paul is inspiring us all by taking on monthly challenges for charity. It’s shaping up to be a great year—let’s keep the momentum going!

Personal Training

Facilities: Exciting developments are happening at Elemental Fitness and Elemental Kickboxing Leeds! Here's the latest:

Reception Area: The door fitters are set to cut the new external entrance, marking a major step forward in transforming our reception area.

Treatment Rooms: Progress continues with additional electrics installed this week, and materials for plumbing have arrived, bringing us closer to fully functional spaces.

Massage/Physio Room: The massage and physio room is shaping up with further electrical work completed and the ceiling installation underway.

New Internal Studio Corridor Wall: The viewing area windows have been cut out on the reception side, and the doorway to the training facility is prepped for the installation of the new door. Ceiling work has also begun in this area, enhancing its overall structure and readiness.

Office Expansion: The first wall of the larger office space has been built, complete with a new window to better serve our customers and enhance training services.

Training Continues Uninterrupted. Your training remains our top priority. All classes are running as scheduled, ensuring your fitness journey continues while we improve our facilities.

We’re grateful for your patience and support during these upgrades. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to our improve space.

Ladies Only Kickboxing Sessions: Now in its third iteration—with an additional class starting earlier due to demand—the Ladies’ classes have become a huge success! Under David’s guidance, participants have made incredible progress, refined their skills and sharpened their techniques. Their dedication and hard work will soon be celebrated with a special grading event, marking the achievements they’ve earned over the past few months. Fantastic work, ladies—keep it up!

Client Mention: We’re incredibly proud to support Paul on his inspirational 2025 challenge journey!

Paul’s goal for the year is to participate in an event or challenge every single month, supporting charities close to his heart. He’s kicking things off in January with "Run the Month" for Prostate Cancer UK, a challenge to run 26.2 miles over the course of the month. It’s a steady start to what promises to be a year full of meaningful achievements and charitable impact.

Paul’s commitment doesn’t stop at completing these challenges. He’s also focusing on raising awareness and inspiring others to take on their own goals or join him in supporting these causes. While Paul isn’t actively seeking donations, his efforts are a reminder that even small contributions can make a big difference. If you’d like to support Paul’s January challenge, you can find his fundraising page here.

Paul’s dedication to raising funds for Cancer Research UK and the Stroke Association was amazing. We’re confident his efforts in 2025 will continue to make a positive impact and inspire our community.

Paul’s journey aligns perfectly with the spirit of Elemental Kickboxing Leeds—resilience, determination, and supporting others. Let’s cheer him on every step of the way and, if you haven't already, maybe even consider setting our own goals for 2025.

Kickboxing Classes

Old School Training: Since our last newsletter, there have been some changes to our instructor lineup and class allocations. Head Instructor and EKA founder David has returned to his roots, taking on the Beginners’ Tuesday night class. Wanting to reconnect with new faces and personally guide fresh members on their kickboxing journey, David is excited to be back in this role.

You’ll also see familiar faces in their usual spots: James continues to run the Tuesday and Thursday Kids’ Classes alongside his ever-popular Saturday Adults’ Class. Ryan is tackling the Wednesday Mixed/KATA class, his high-intensity pad sessions later that evening, and the Saturday Kids’ Class as well. Finally, Josh heads up the Thursday Senior Class, bringing his passion for sparring into the mix while also assisting with Squad Training—more on that below!

Competition: The date is set, and the fighters are ready—our first competition of 2025 is just around the corner! Taking place right here in our hometown of Leeds and hosted by Revolution Tournaments, this event promises to kick off the year with excitement and action. Representing the EKA are Noah, Nico, Gurbani, and Jacob—a young but determined squad. Their fierce dedication and training have set the stage for an impressive debut, and Josh is confident they’ll rise to the occasion, proving themselves worthy competitors while making the club proud. Let’s cheer them on!

Gradings: Next grading is set for March time, we haven’t decided on date just yet as we have some plans in motion that may alter things slightly – don’t fret however as these changes will see a huge improvement for members when it comes to grading, training and more!
