My work experience at Elemental Fitness
By: Antoine Recizac
The 5 weeks I spent working with Elemental Fitness will be an unforgettable one, it opened my mind seeing how things work from the inside of an upcoming gym and what it takes to move forward. My time was very short but I gained a lot from it, being an aspiring nutritionist in sport, I gained first-hand experience on how it is to work with people, from having scientific nutritional discussions with Kerry whom I must say thank you so much! To basic understanding of nutrition with those of you who came in and pushed yourselves to the limit whiles working in your personal training sessions. It was a pleasure both meeting you all and explaining on how food affects us in our daily lives. Honestly I have never seen such hard working Individuals as yourselves, keep working hard! It was a joy working with you all and being part of the Dan Grading on the Saturday, that was really cool and congrats to every one!
Not only did I get some insight on better nutritional understanding, being into sports myself I can’t thank David and James enough for explaining why they did certain exercises for different individuals and reasons. It helped me understand how strength and conditioning works in the real world. It has been a very busy 5 weeks I must admit and I think I only scratched the surface of it. Working with David and James I learnt that they are both extremely busy with their work and their outside life, the amount of dedication, effort and attitude these 2 have is incredible. If David or James weren’t having a PT session they would be on the computer, answering the phone, updating their calendar, never a moments rest. Although since I took the computer from James he got to slack off for a couple of minutes during the day. I can’t thank them both enough it was great meeting them both and working with them. For the short time I met Sanaa I found out very quickly that she was very busy like David and James, working late hours and coming in every Saturday to give a session for her Bootcamp. It is always a pleasure to be around and meet hard working people because they bring the best out of you, again it was a pleasure to have met every single one of you, it made me feel like I was part of something. A big thanks to you David for sending out your proposition for a placement and allowing me to work at Elemental Fitness.
